SASSA grant for October provides financial help to qualified South African individuals and families. The SASSA seek to improve the lives of individuals in need by providing grants such as the Old Age Grant, Disability Grant, Child Support Grant, and others.

Sassa provides grants for eligible beneficiaries every October, to aid them financially.  The grant recipients must fulfil particular qualifying requirements based on the type of award they are seeking to qualify for the SASSA grant in October.

How To Collect SASSA Grant Payment?

If you are a SASSA grant recipient, I’m sure you have chosen a payment method via which you will receive your grant payment. If so, you will receive your February SASSA Grant payment via your preferred payment method.

  • SASSA payment options include bank transfers, ATM withdrawals, and purchases from retailers such as Shoprite, U-Save, Boxer, Pick & Pay, and Checkers.
  • You can also make payment at a collection point like Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite, Boxer and USave stores

If you want to avoid the long queues on payment dates, you should wait a few days to collect your grant money – this will save you hours waiting in line to receive your funds.

Sassa Gold Card

  • Like any other regular bank card, the SASSA Gold Card works the same. You can draw money at any ATM and use your card at a till point.
  • Grant holders should create a PIN for their gold card so that their funds can’t be withdrawn if the card is lost or stolen.
  • After SASSA social grants are paid each month, they remain on your SASSA gold card until you are ready to use the funds
  • The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) approves the SASSA gold card for use.
