SASSA Payment Dates 2024-2025 for May June July August

More than 16 million South African residents receive various types of social grants from the South African government every month. These grants are given by South African Social Security Agency (SASSA), to people who do not have the financial support.

If your SASSA application for 2024-2025 session has been approved for the Older Persons, Disability or Children’s Grant, you may be thinking when you will receive your final grant payment for the upcoming months. You will find a list of the payment dates for these 3 particular grants (other types of social grants are paid shortly after these grants) below

All Grant-holders may receive their money at any time after the payment date (the money will still be there, even if you do not draw it out on the exact payment date).

SASSA SRD GRANT PAYMENT METHODS

  • You can make payment at any bank ATM, using your SASSA gold card
  • You can also make payment at a collection points like Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite, Boxer and USave stores

If you want to avoid the long queues on payment dates, you should wait a few days to collect your grant money – this will save you hours of time waiting in line to receive your funds.

SASSA SRD GOLD CARD

  • Like any other regular bank card, the SASSA Gold Card works exactly the same. You will be able to draw money at any ATM and use your card at a till point.
  • Grant holders should create a PIN for their gold card, so that their funds can’t be withdrawn if the card is lost or stolen.
  • After SASSA social grant are paid each month, they remain on your SASSA gold card until you are ready to use the funds
  • The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) approves the SASSA gold card for use.
