How to Apply for UNISA Admission 2026
UNISA Online Application for Admission to the 2026 academic year is open from 18 August to 10 October 2025 for all undergraduate, honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas. Those who wish to study at the University of South Africa (UNISA) must apply online for admission before the closing date. Remember that the online application fee is R150.00 and this is not refundable even if you decide not to study at Unisa or do not meet the admission requirements for your chosen qualification.
Before submitting your application, ensure that you meet both the statutory and college-specific admission requirements, as well as the required Academic Points Score (APS) for your chosen qualification(s). The minimum APS varies by college and qualification, so check the admission requirements for each program. Keep in mind that acceptance to study at UNISA in 2026 is not guaranteed and will depend on the availability of spaces for each qualification.

University of South Africa, UNISA application dates for 2026 has been schedule below:
- Undergraduate qualifications: 18 August 2025 – 10 October 2025
- Honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas: 18 August 2025 – 10 October 2025
- Master’s & doctoral qualifications: 2 September and 21 November 2025
- Applications and registrations for short learning programmes: 5 January – 13 February 2026 for First semester modules. Applications for year modules will remain open until 13 March 2026.

- Go to UNISA application website at www.unisa.ac.za
- Click on the “Admission” tab at the top menu of the page
- Click on “Apply for Admission 2026” to proceed
- Click the qualification level (Undergraduate/Postgraduate,…)
- Read carefully about the online application information
- Then, click on the “Start the Process” link to begin
- Read the application details and how the selection process entail
- Choose the qualification(s) for which you want to apply
- Ensure that you have the necessary documents ready to upload
- Click on “Apply Now” to start the online application process
- A new UNISA application tool window will be open unto you.
- Fill out the online application form with the requested details
- Upload all your supporting documents. Ensure they are scanned copies
- Pay the online application fee of R150.00 and keep the proof of payment
- Complete and Submit your application for evaluation or review

- A Copy of your official tertiary academic records (if applicable)
