How to Qualify and Apply for the SASSA R350 Grant:
If you are unemployed and need a little extra support, the SASSA R350 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant is here to help. This temporary grant is offered by the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) to assist people who are going through financial difficulties and have no other source of income.
The R350 grant is available to South African citizens, permanent residents, refugees, asylum seekers, and special permit holders who are between the ages of 18 and 60. To qualify, you must not be receiving any other government support, like NSFAS, UIF, or other social grants.
Applying for the grant is easy and can be done online. You do not need to visit any office in person.
