It’s important to easily log into your NSAFS Account. To do so follow these steps
- visit this website https://my.nsfas.org.za/
- Log in to your NSFAS account
- Provide your username and password and sign in
- tap on Track Funding Progress
- This will aid you check your NSFAS application status
Create myNSFAS Account 2025
applicant not already having an account can use these steps to register;
- visit my.nsfas.org.za
- Click on register. Tick on the acceptance option to allow NSFAS to verify and validate the information you provided.
- Provide your ID number as it appears on your ID document.
- Provide your name and surname as they appear on your ID Document.
- Provide your email address and cellphone number. Your username will be your email address.
- Create a password and confirm your password.
- Upload a copy of your ID.
- Click on register.
- After clicking register, a one-time pin (OTP) will be sent to the email address and cellphone number you provided.
- Check your cell phone and email for the OTP.
- Type in the OTP in the tab provided and click submit.

Who Qualifies For NSFAS Funding 2025?
- All South African citizens
- All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
- Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
- A person with disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
- Students who started studying before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.
Types Of NSFAS Funding
NSFAS funds in two different ways and they include;
- Bursaries: NSFAS grants bursaries to eligible students, and no re-payment is required.
- Loans: NSFAS offers loans instead of bursaries. Loans require repayment; however, they come with advantageous terms and conditions.
