How To Apply SRD R350 2025-2026
The SRD R350 grant is intended to give short-term financial support to jobless South African citizens or permanent citizen dwellers who do not get any other type of income support and are not currently receiving any government social grant. This grant is intended to ease the immediate problem caused by economic struggles and to give some stability through tough times.
To apply for the SRD R350 grant, you must follow the requirements provided by the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) or other applicable government department in charge of grant administration. Filling out an application form, presenting the appropriate papers, and sending your application through the proper channels are typical stages. How To Apply SRD R350 2025-2026
The SRD grant seeks to provide financial backing to those who do not have any financial means to support themselves. When applying for an SRD Grant, applicants will have to read, agree to, and sign 2 forms; the declaration form and the consent form. Follow the below procedure to apply for SRD R350 2025-2026;
STEP 1: SELECT AN APPLICATION METHOD
Please select from one of these methods
WhatsApp:
- Send a message via WhatsApp to 082 046 8553
- Provide your details
- You will receive a Reference number, an OTP, and a link to click
- Click on the provided link, fill in your OTP, and verify your account
- Fill in your surname and ID number
- Verify your details that you provided via the WhatsApp chat
SRD Website:
- In your internet browser, visit the SRD Website
- Fill in your mobile number and ID number and click “send SMS”
- You will receive a 6-digit OTP via SMS
- Insert the OTP number on the SRD website and click “verify pin”
Apply via the SASSA Chatbot:
- In your internet browser, visit the SASSA Website
- Click on the SRD R350 Grant assistance chatbox (orange box on the side of the screen)
- Fill in your ID number and mobile number
- On the chat, choose the option to apply for the SRD R350 grant
- Click on the SRD website link provided by the SASSA Chatbot
- Follow the SRD website steps
STEP 2: AGREE TO THE T&C’S
- Read and agree to the clauses in the Declaration and the Consent
- Read and agree to the clauses on the You and Your Special COVID-19 SRD Grant document
STEP 3: PROVIDE YOUR DETAILS
Provide your personal information, including:
- ID Number
- Full Name and Surname (as printed on your ID Document/ ID Card)
- Gender
- Physical Address
- Contact Information (mobile number, email address)
- SASSA may request further information
STEP 4: SELECT YOUR PAYMENT OPTION / PROVIDE YOUR BANKING DETAILS
New applicants with a personal bank account, must provide the following information for payment:
- Your Bank Name
- Your Account Number
- Your Branch Name
- Account Type
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions
- Submit your Banking Details
New applicants without a personal bank account, must provide the following information for payment:
- Choose Payment option – Cash Send
- Agree to Terms and Conditions
- Submit Banking Details
Existing applicants with a personal bank account, confirm the following information for payment:
- Confirm Existing Personal Banking Details
- Agree to Terms and Conditions
- Click Submit
Existing applicants with the cash option, who would like to change to the bank payment option, provide the following information for payment:
- Your Bank Name
- Your Account Number
- Your Branch Name
- Your Account Type
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions
- Submit your Banking Details
STEP 5: RECEIVE AN SMS
Applicants will receive an SMS with their banking information. The SRD R350 Grant application is now live as a result of getting this SMS.
STEP 6: SASSA CONFIRMATION AND AUTHENTIFICATION
SASSA compares your personal information (ID number, name, and surname) to a database maintained by the Department of Home Affairs. SASSA compares your ID number to recognized databases such as UIF, SARS, and NSFAS. Fraud risk scoring is performed in collaboration with fraud protection partners, and your ID number and mobile number are checked against recognized databases. After that, your application is either approved or declined with a reason. That concludes the application procedure!

Apply for Reconsideration Of The SRD Grant 2024-2025
If your application was rejected, you may request reconsideration within 30 days after receiving the reason for the rejection. For each month that your application is denied, you may request reconsideration.
