When Can I Send NSFAS Appeal 2025

An applicant has 30 days from the time they received thier application results to file an appeal. to re-apply you must first log in to their myNSFAS profile and fill out the necessary information before they can submit an appeal.

• Appeals for new and continuing students will close on February 20th, 2025.

How Do I Know I Qualify For NSFAS Appeal 2025

If your application is rejected or the financial aid for a continuing student is withdrawn, may appeal with the NSFAS.

NOTE;

• The decision to accept your appeal is based on NSFS’s Available budget left
• Appeals will only be considered for students who have applied to NSFAS for Financial Aid.

Who cannot Send NSFAS Appeal 2025?

Students cannot appeal if they:

• Are registered for a qualification that NSFAS does not fund;
• They have reached N+2 (or N+3 in the case of students with disabilities).
• The student is a gap year student whom NSFAS previously denied financial aid to because s/he did not meet the academic eligibility criteria.
• If the institution has not submitted its registration record to NSFAS or has submitted an incorrect registration record such enquiries should be directed to the institution.

How Can I Appeal To NSFAS 2025

follow the official steps below to apply to NSFAS;

• From the official website of NSFAS, download the appeal form
• Complete the form
• make sure to check all the relevant boxes indicating the reason for your appeal.
• Signed motivation for appeal must be included
• Attach your supporting documents (e.g. medical certificates, death certificates, etc.)
• Send the completed form through email to the Financial Aid Office at your institution.

Note: Applicants should remember that pursuing an appeal does not ensure that the funding decision will be overturned. It does, however, provide applicants the opportunity to explain their case and maybe gain financial aid for their higher education study.
