Process For Application For NSFAS
Create an account:
- Visit the NSFAS website and click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab to make an account
- You must have a working cellphone, a valid cellphone number, and an email address to sign up
- Make sure all the information provided during the registration is correct because it’s checked right away
Completing the Application:
- After signing up, click on the ‘Apply’ tab and fill in all the sections of the application form
- Provide documents like a copy of your ID, proof of your income, and any other required documents needed
- Provide detailed information about your parents, guardian, or spouse and proof of income. And if you support yourself you need to prove your income
- If you are facing health challenges(disability) or you are an orphan, you might need to give extra documents as well

Eligibility To Apply For NSFAS Application
To apply for the bursary program you need to meet the requirements/standards:
- SASSA grant recipient
- You must have an email/ cell phone number
- A South African citizen with a valid ID number
- You should be a first-time student entering a university or TVET college
- Household income should not be more than R350 000 per year
- Meet the academic requirements for university or TVET college admission
- Health challenges(disability) household income should not be more than R600 000 per year
