NSFAS Application Process 2025-2026

As the year is getting to an end for the 2024 academic year. The NSFAS has opened its application for the next academic year which is 2025 for students who are going through financial struggles to apply for the NSFAS bursary program which will provide them with the necessary support they need to further their education to the higher institution.

Opening Date And Deadline For NSFAS Application 2025-2026

• Application Opening Date: November 21, 2024
• Application Closing Date: January 31, 2025

 

Required Documents When Applying For The  NSFAS Application Process

These are the following documents you need to provide during the application process for NSFAS. Make sure you log in to your myNSFAS account to upload the following documents:

Students with health conditions (disabilities) must provide:

• A complete and signed Disabilities Annexure A form

 

Students recognized as vulnerable children must provide:

• Applicants who are been recognized as vulnerable by the Department of Social Development must provide a Vulnerable Child Declaration Form by the social worker.

 

Other Required Documents To Provide

• Retrenchment Letter
• Death certificate/s
• Divorce Decree
• Proof of legal guardianship
• Marriage certificate
• other documents may be requested for appeal purposes,….eg retrenchment letter

How To Apply For NSFAS Application 2025-2026

Create a profile:

• Create a myNSFAS account via this link: https://my.nsfas,org.za or you can download the NSFAS App on Google Play or App Store. Your ID number will be your username.

 

Apply now:

• Click on the ”APPLY”  tab button to upload your details and other supporting documents that may be required of you as instructed.

 

• Completed:

Submit your application

 

Supporting Documents For the Application Process

• Applicants must have a copy of their student ID or birth certificate
• Must have a copy of an ID of spouse/ guardian or parents
• Provide proof of income (if applicable)
• Individuals living with health conditions (disabilities) must have a Disability Annexure A form
