• All SASSA grant recipients
• Be a citizen of South Africa or a permanent resident with a valid ID number
• Be a first-time entering TVET college or university student
• Household income shouldn’t be more than R350,000 per year
• Must meet the academic criteria for admission to a university or TVET college

 

What the Bursary Covers For NSFAS 2025?

The funding bursary for the National Students Financial Aid Scheme(NSFAS) 2025 covers the cost of tuition and some additional expenses in relation to your academic studies, which include:

• Accommodation: NSFAS covers the costs of on-campus or off-campus student housing
• Meals: It provides a meal allowance to help cover the cost of food while you are studying

• A copy of the parent/s or guardian/spouse ID
• Proof of income
• Individuals living with a disability must have a Disability Annexure A form
• Applicants who are recognized as vulnerable children by the Department of Social Development must have a completed declaration form
