Sassa April 2026 Payment Dates
SASSA Old Age, Disability, and Child Grant Payment Dates for April 2026:
Looking for the official SASSA April 2026 payment dates for SASSA? You are in the right place. The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) will begin disbursing social grants for April 2026 on scheduled dates, helping millions of South Africans meet their daily needs. According to the 2025 Budget Speech by Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana, all social grants except the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant are set to increase from April 2026. This means that grant beneficiaries will not only receive their payments on time but can also expect slightly higher amounts to help with the rising cost of living.
The increase in grants will impact more than 19 million recipients by 2025/26, rising to 19.3 million in 2027/28 due to a growing elderly population. Among the confirmed increases: the old age, disability, and care dependency grants will go up from R2,185 to R2,315, while the child support grant will rise from R530 to R560. These changes reflect the government’s commitment to poverty relief and a sustainable social support system.
In April 2026, SASSA will release payments for older persons, disability, and children’s grants on separate days, as is standard practice. Meanwhile, the SRD R370 grant remains unchanged and will continue through extended funding. Be sure to check the exact SASSA April 2026 payment schedule to avoid missing your payout.
