There are multiple ways to check the status – the easiest way is the online method. All you need is your ID number and the cellphone number you used to apply.

How To Check Sassa Status Online

To check your Sassa status online, follow these steps:

  • Visit the Sassa website.
  • Click on the “Check Status” button located under the “Application Status” tab.
  • You will be redirected to the Sassa Status Page.
  • Enter your ID number and phone number.
  • Click on the “Submit” button.
  • Once you click on “Submit,” your application status will be displayed.

What Does My Sassa Status Mean?

You will receive one of the following statuses after checking your status:

  • Application complete: This status indicates that SASSA has received your application and there is nothing further you need to do.
  • Bank details pending: This status indicates that SASSA received your application or reapplication but that you did not submit your banking information or the selected payment method.
  • Reapplication pending: This status indicates that SASSA has NOT received your reapplication.
  • Period (e.g. February) Pending: This status indicates that SASSA is currently in the process of verifying your application for that specific month; there is no additional action required.
  • Period (e.g. February) Approved: This status indicates that SASSA has approved your application for that month.
  • Period (e.g. February) Declined: When you read this status, it signifies that SASSA has sadly refused your application for that month.
  • Cancelled: This status indicates that SASSA has cancelled the application.
