Sassa October Payment Dates 2026-2027

When Will SASSA Pay in October 2026? Dates You Should Know:

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) continues to support millions of South Africans every month through its wide range of social grants. These payments offer critical financial relief to unemployed individuals, older persons, people with disabilities, caregivers, and children from low-income households. As part of its routine service delivery, SASSA publishes monthly payment schedules to keep beneficiaries informed and prepared.

For October 2026 and October 2027, SASSA is expected to follow its structured grant disbursement plan. Each type of grant is released on a different date to minimize congestion and make the process more efficient for both recipients and financial institutions. Beneficiaries will include those receiving the Older Persons Grant, Disability Grant, War Veterans Grant, Care Dependency Grant, Foster Child Grant, Child Support Grant, Child Support Top-Up, and the Grant-in-Aid. In addition, the SRD R370 grant continues to be paid separately, following its schedule.

It’s important to note that SASSA does not pay grants on weekends or public holidays. If the scheduled date falls on a non-working day, the payment will automatically shift to the next business day.

Beneficiaries are also encouraged to check their SASSA status online before their expected payment date. This helps avoid delays, ensures all details are correct, and gives peace of mind knowing that your funds are on the way. Once deposited, your grant money will remain safely in your account until you need it.
