SASSA Online Status 2024-2025: How To Check SASSA Online Status 

The South African government’s SASSA (South African Social Security Agency) offers social security services to qualified individuals. Beneficiaries can check the progress of their social grant applications or payments online using the SASSA Online progress tool on the SASSA website.
Beneficiaries must first visit the SASSA website and choose “Online Status” in order to use SASSA Online Status. They will next be asked to input their ID number and decide the kind of award they have applied for or are presently receiving.
The system will inform the recipient of the status of their grant application or payment after the information has been input. Information like if the application has been accepted, whether the money has been completed, or whether there are any application-related problems that need to be fixed might be included in this.

How To Check SASSA Online Status

  • Visit the Sassa website.
  • Click on the “Check Status” button located under the “Application Status” tab.
  • You will be redirected to the Sassa Status Page.
  • Enter your ID number and phone number.
  • Click on the “Submit” button.
  • Once you click on “Submit,” your application status will be displayed.

What Does My Sassa Status Mean?

You will receive one of the following statuses after verifying your status:

  1. Application complete: This indicates that they received your application and there is nothing further you need to do.
  2. Bank details pending: This indicates that they received your application or reapplication but that you did not submit your banking information or the selected payment method.
  3. Reapplication pending: This indicates that they have NOT received your reapplication.
  4. Period (e.g. August) Pending: This indicates that SASSA is currently in the process of verifying your application for that specific month; there is no additional action required.
  5. Period (e.g. August) Approved: This status indicates that they have approved your application for that month.
  6. Period (e.g. August) Declined: When you read this status, it signifies that they have sadly refused your application for that month.
  7. Cancelled: This status indicates that they have cancelled the application.
