The agency has created several ways in which one can apply for a grant.

  1. Online: You choose to visit the official site of the agency and then register. Once you register with your details such as your ID, your contact information and banking details, you can apply online.
  2. WhatsApp: You can also send a WhatsApp to the line of the agency at 082 0468 553. You will receive feedback that will require you to provide your details to enable you to apply for a grant.
  3. SASSA Offices: You can also locate any of the SASSA offices close to you and then pick up forms and fill them. After that, you will attach all the supporting documents and submit them.
  4. Post Office: With your ID and supporting documents, you can visit the post office and apply for a grant.
  5. USSD: Dial1347737# from your phone, you will receive prompts and you have to follow these prompts to finish up your application process.

Documents Required for SRD Grant In 2025

To apply for the SRD grant, you will need to provide the following documents:

  1. Your ID document.
  2. Proof of income, such as a recent pay slip or bank statement.
  3. Proof of residence, such as a utility bill or lease agreement.
  4. Any other relevant documents, such as a death certificate if you are applying on behalf of a deceased person.
