How to apply for SRD Grant Online
These are the simple application procedures you can follow to apply for the SASSA Grant Online application to become a beneficiary:
- Visit the SRD portal to apply for the R350 grant.
- Enter your cell phone number and click the “Send SMS” button.
- You will receive a 6-digit OTP number via SMS.
- Enter the OTP number and click the “Verify Pin” button.
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions, including the Declaration and Consent Document Rules.
- South African ID holders should provide their ID Number; others can enter a Special Permit File Number.
- Provide your details: Name, Surname, Address, and Gender.
- Enter your banking details (Bank Name, Branch, Account Type, and Number) or choose the “Send Cash” payment option.
- Submit your payment option and agree to the Terms and Conditions.
- Wait for SASSA to verify your personal and banking details with the Department of Home Affairs database.
- You will receive a confirmation message on your mobile number once your SRD R350 grant is active.
- Asylum Seekers and Special Permit holders will receive a Payment ID to collect their payment at Pick ‘n Pay.
- Check the status of your application by visiting the SASSA website or contacting their helpline. Be patient, as processing times may vary and if have not received any update from them.
