Apply for NSFAS 2026-2027: Important Dates You Should Not Miss:

The online application period for the NSFAS 2026-2027 academic year will officially open on 21 November 2025 and close on 31 January 2026. During this period, eligible students currently enrolled at any public university or TVET college in South Africa can apply for funding through the myNSFAS online portal. For the 2026-2027 academic year, you can only apply if you are;

South African citizens or permanent residents
SASSA grant recipients
Applicants whose combined gross household income is not more than R350,000 per year
Persons with disabilities whose combined gross household income is not more than R600,000 per year.
Must have an email account and cell phone number.
