NSFAS Application 2025-2026 Online:
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme, NSFAS Online Application 2025 academic year will be available from September 2024 and will close around January 2025. Prospective applicants who want to apply for financial aid to further their tertiary education can tune in for NSFAS for the 2025 academic season. It is necessary for all applicant to note that there are certain requirements that they have to meet in order to get NSFAS Bursary approval for 2025.
Meanwhile, we are encouraging all applicants to check their 2024 NSFAS application status on the myNSFAS portal. NSFAS has recently updated the list of all provisionally funded applicants due to a significant increase in funding for 2024. If successful, congratulations. If unsuccessful and you wish to appeal, feel free and use the appeal process form for the 2024 academic year.
A student whose application for financial aid is rejected, or the financial support for a continuing student is withdrawn , can apply for an appeal with the NSFAS. Please, remember the following:
- The appeal decisions are subject to budget availability.
- Appeals will only be considered for students who has applied to NSFAS for Financial Aid.
Who Cannot Appeal for NSFAS 2024?
The following students are not permitted to appeal if they:
- Are registered for a qualification that NSFAS does not fund
- They have reached N+2 or N+3 in the case of students with disabilities.
- The student is a gap year student who NSFAS previously denied financial aid to because s/he did not meet the academic eligibility criteria.
- The institution has not submitted their registration record to NSFAS or has submitted an incorrect registration record such enquiries should be directed to the institution.
You must submit NSFAS appeal within 30 days of receiving your application results. Login to your myNSFAS profile and provide the required details.
