What Does My Sassa Status Mean?

After checking your status, you will receive one of the following statuses. Read on to learn what your status means:

  1. Application complete: This indicates that they received your application and there is nothing further you need to do.
  2. Bank details pending: This indicates that they received your application or reapplication but that you did not submit your banking information or the selected payment method.
  3. Reapplication pending: This indicates that they have NOT received your reapplication.
  4. Period (e.g. March) Pending: This indicates that SASSA is currently in the process of verifying your application for that specific month; there is no additional action required.
  5. Period (e.g. March) Approved: This status indicates that they have approved your application for that month.
  6. Period (e.g. March) Declined: When you read this status, it signifies that they have sadly refused your application for that month.
  7. Cancelled: This status indicates that they have cancelled the application.
