Who is Eligible for the Sassa Grant 2025

Sassa grants are intended to offer financial help to South African citizens who are unable to sustain themselves and their dependents owing to a variety of factors such as poverty, disability, or old age. Income, assets, and personal circumstances.

Sassa Grants Eligibility criteria include;

• Disability Grant

This grant is given to South African nationals who have a condition that makes working and earning a living difficult or impossible.

• Old Age Grant

This grant is provided to South African residents aged 60 and up who are not qualified for any other sort of social grant.

• Child Support Grant

This award is offered to South African citizens who are responsible for the care of a child under the age of 18, and who meet specified income and asset conditions.

• Foster Child Grant

This award is offered to South African nationals who are responsible for the care of a child who has been placed in their care by a court order and who meets specified income and asset conditions.

• Care Dependency Grant

This grant is available to South African nationals who are responsible for the care of a child or adult who has a serious disability or disease and requires full-time care and support.
